Super cozy with lots of vintage phones and photos. GREAT coffee, pastries, and avocado toast. There’s even a kids room with toys and books and an adult hang out area with vinyls, books, and games.

Chris has cultivated such a lovely little community space here at Call Box Coffee! It’s a cozy place with plenty of seating options, books to read, games to play, and even a kids corner. I love looking at all the variations of phones all over, including a real life phone booth! Everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious - the seasonal drinks are so yummy, iced and hot. Lots of milk options which is really nice, plus the avocado toast is delicious! I really see Call Box Coffee being a place where you are recognized by both the owner and the fellow coffee/tea lovers. It really is a nice space close to the zoo and the lake. Come grab a drink, sit, and chat a bit. See you again soon Chris! ☺️

While Racine has some great restaurants, it is only great if you can go up stairs. Most buildings and restaurant owners completely ignore the ADA and discriminate against disabled people. There is no excuse to ignore a 35yr old and the only reason is discrimination. As a result, It is SO refreshing for somewhere to open and already have a ramp and no step from the ramp to enter the building. There are not a ton of great places I can take my daughter because she’s a full-time wheelchair user and downtown Racine does not have on street accessible parking and most of the restaurants are inaccessible. So it’s stinks that I can’t go on a mother-daughter date like other moms go on with their kids because of the level of inaccessibility in Racine. We have been anticipating the opening of Call Box coffee for months because the ramp already exists and we watched it get updated. To be able to walk to a cute coffee shop and grab a cup of coffee and a snack and go home or go on a little date with my daughter is something I have not experienced in years. It’s not just what’s being served. It is who’s being allowed in and included. The service was also great. One of the employees saw us coming and opened the door, which was not necessary, but always appreciated and they let us take our time to pick what we wanted. My daughter loved her pastry and my iced latte was very good.

Great and cute coffee shop! So personable and friendly unlike the big corporations like Starbucks! Highly recommend!

I loved this place! Call Box Coffee felt so good and friendly from the moment I walked in. It’s exactly what the neighborhood needed — close to the zoo and park, making it perfect for grabbing a coffee before heading out. The vintage phones are a really cool touch, and there are cozy little seating nooks—including a children’s nook—but it’s quiet and welcoming for anyone looking to relax. The baked goods were tasty too, which made the visit even better. I tried the Witches Brew, a fun seasonal flavor, and I’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely love this new coffeeshop! I live close by and it’s so nice to have a new business in the neighborhood. The service is great, the coffee is delicious but the atmosphere is what gets me. I never leave there without having a good laugh!

Chris didn’t just open a coffee shop — she created a place the neighborhood actually needed. What used to be an old dentist office is now warm, nostalgic, and full of character, with vintage landline phones and little touches that make you smile the second you walk in. There’s a dedicated kids playroom (lifesaver), and my daughter is obsessed with the special menu item called “foffee” — a kid-friendly coffee made from milk so they can sip something “grown-up” right alongside you. It’s thoughtful, sweet, and exactly the kind of detail that shows how much Chris pays attention to real life and real families. Beyond the main space, there’s a quiet, cozy room with a heater, books, games, and puzzles, plus a record player that sets the perfect atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot where you can drink good coffee, actually exhale, and feel like you’re part of something local again. And honestly, none of it would hit the same without Chris herself — personable, funny, caring, and genuinely invested in the community she’s building one cup at a time. If you haven’t stopped in yet, go. Bring your kids. Bring a book. Bring a friend. This is the kind of place that deserves to stick around, and we’re lucky to have it right down the block.

What a great little place. Ran by some of the nicest people you will encounter that don’t have a corporation standing behind them! Can’t beat the location, less than two blocks from the zoo and beach. The amount of sunflowers is amazing.

Absolutely loving this new coffee spot! The atmosphere is so fun and unique — vintage phones line the walls and there’s even a real telephone booth that makes the perfect photo backdrop. It’s such a cool place to hang out. The coffee is fantastic too. Today I tried the Cookie Butter Latte and it was incredible, but I’ve also had the Taffy Apple Latte before and that one was amazing as well. Definitely a place worth checking out if you’re looking for great drinks and a memorable vibe.
